| Details of Achievement : | R.L. Narasimha Swamy is my grand father, who died February 1993. He is the greatest/noblest Hoysala Karnataka, I have ever come across.
He retired as director of coffee board in 1970.
He developed a variety of coffee, which incidently is the largest growing in India and goes by the scientific name S.795 & S.1934 (INGR No. 01040), at Central Coffee Research Institute, Karnataka.
Coffee drinkers in India are indebted to this notable Hoysala Karnataka, the second son of oNi mane Ramaswamy of Akkihebbalu and Puttamma of Yedathore, and his wife enes from Hole Narsipura Ramaswamaih family.
By the way, I have a copy of the certification/Registration of this variety of coffee, which has been registered in his name, by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). This registration was done in September 2001. After the Basmati/Texmati controversy, the govt of India, registered several of their inventions/patents, including this one. |
