Hoysala Karnataka Bandhavarige Namaskara,

We are forwarding the email sent by our Shri. H.R. Gopala Krishna on behalf of our Bengalooru Sangha.

Our Bengalooru Sangha will be holding the next Hoysala Karnatakara samaavesha, Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Dental College Auditorium, on Sunday, 19.04.2009.

The purpose of this Samaavesha is to :

1. To provide an opportunity to our community members, from different places to participate and to build up solidarity.
2. To create an opportunity for exchange of thoughts to result in to bringing out various programs for the overall benefit of HK community members.
3. As you are aware HK Sanghas in Mysore, Mandya, Hasana, Bhadravathi and Shimoga are working successfully. Hence to facilitate creation of sanghas in other places/districts for the overall benefit of HK community members.

It is a great opportunity for all of us to renew/meet our “bandhus” whom we have not met for years, during the Samaavesha. Hence it is desired that you should make to the “samaavesha” without fail.

It has been planned to bring out a Vishesha sanchike of “Prabudda Hoysala” to commemorate the occasion of “Samavesha”.

As a HK community member you would realise, that ,a larger platform would be of great help to our community members who belong to different generations. Any gesture from your end will help the community.

You can be of great help  and in many ways and also there is sufficient time to plan your activity for the community.

We, from this HK Website, are glad to participate in the samaavesha by participating in making of an Audio CD on “ Namma habbagaLalli haaduva sampradaada hadugaLu”, which is being brought out by Bengalooru HK Sangha. This CD will be launched on the Samaavesha Day.

As you are aware our Mysore HK Sangha is in the process of constructing the “ Shatamaanothsava Bhavana “. The details are sent by Shri. P.V. Bharadwaj, Secretary, , our HK Sangha, Mysore.

This project is coming up under the Leadership of Shri. I.N. Sridhar of Indavara Constructions, as the President – Technical and
Vidwan.Shri.K.Pattabhi Jois as the President-Resources.

Other prominent members are Shri. A.S.Yoganarasimha of Sharp Engineers, Shri. M.S.Ramaprasad of R.N.Constructions, Shri. H.S.Babu of Chescom, Shri. B.N.Vidhyashankara of Shri Shakthi Constructions, Shri. N.Lakshminarasimhha of PWD, Shri. B.V.Somashekhara of Mandya Jilla Panchayathi, and Shri. M. Nanjundaswamy.

The “Bhavana” will be of two floors. The ground floor will contain a Hall with sitting capacity for 250 persons, a large stage and rooms for Bride and Groom. The First floor will contain dining space for 250 guests and five rooms for Bride and Groom families. The “Bhavana’ will also have well equipped Generator facility, Kitchen, Bath Rooms and Toilets.

The project cost is around Rs.One crore, and is expected to take about 8-10 months for completion.

The progress of the “ Bhavana “ can be speeded up with your help and contributions.

There are many well thought and contemporary plans for the donations, which are mentioned below.


1.  Rs.1.50,000/- for constructing a room and designating in the name of senior members of your family..

2.Rs. 10,000/- for mentioning  donors name on the Marble plaque to be kept inside the Bhavana.   

3. Rs.12,000/- for one day rent of the Bhavana, every year for first five years, on priority basis.

4. Loan amounts will also be accepted. These loans will be returned after completion of five years after the starting of the ”Bhavana”. In this case you can opt for interest- free loans or for with-interest loans of approx 5 % p.a.

5. Donations in the form of Rice-Cooker, Generator, Dining Tables, Chairs, Fans can also be given.

Please note that as the sangha is registered under Karnataka Society Registration Act, donations will not have any tax rebate facility.

We are glad to inform you that our HK community member Shri. B. Manjunatha, who is settled in Malleshwaram, Bengalooru, is interested to teach Vedic Hymns ( Yajurveda ) to any interested learner from our  and other Brahmin community.

He is retired from Defense as a Scientist. He was a student of Veda Brahmashri. Shri. Banavathi Ramakrishne Shastry and Veda Brahmashri.Shri Yagna Narayana Shastry.

He got the teaching (Pustaka patha in Yajurveda Samhita, Brahmana, Aranyaka and Upanishads) from them for over 20 years and as per the later Guruji's instruction, he was taking junior classes in Sringeri Shankara Mutt in Malleswaram when his Guruji was not available for teaching.

He can undertake the coaching either at his residence in 11th cross, Malleshwram or in veda patashala at 15th Cross, Malleswaram on mutual convenient days and timings.

Smt. Leela Nagaraja Rao, wife of Late Shri. Nagaraja Rao,  resident nearVidyapeetha Circle, Banashakari, Third Stage, Bangalore, breathed her last on 17.01.2009.
